Take Me Back To Nashville

Phew, it’s taken me a couple extra days but I’m finally feeling up to par after a fun filled weekend in NASHVILLE! I went with a group of girls for Elle's bachelorette party weekend, and the “Music City” was everything I had hoped it would be. As soon as we landed, literally everyone we talked to had to get their bragging in,

“Well ya know, Nashville was voted 2nd for best place to go for bachelorette parties,”

You don’t say? I guess being from Texas I’ve always gone to New Orleans and played around on Bourbon St. In my mind, behind Las Vegas, Bourbon would have been the runner up for the best place for bachelorette debauchery. Nashville, I now understand why you hold that coveted spot. While we were there we of course had to go see Blake Shelton, went out to Broadway St., took a Music City Pub Crawl, and on the last day even stopped by the Draper James store – too bad we missed Reese! The MOH and a few other bridesmaids were the brains behind the planning, and I have to say for a group of 16 women, none of which had ever been to Nashville, we had a great time!

My only regret is that I didn’t have my camera the whole time, but I was nervous that it might get a little too rowdy and something might have happened. Oh well. There are SOO many places to go eat and see, but I’ve listed a few of the places that we actually did eat at that I would highly recommend!

The Southern really great authentic southern food, and I loved the vintage tile and fans!

Pub 5 upscale “bar food” with a really cool atmosphere - it was such a cool place that I spotted Cassadee Pope! She was also on her way to the Blake Shelton concert (of course). I wanted to be a crazy fan-girl, but Elle took one for the team.

Tavern Midtown the chirizo gravy & biscuits - there are no words. I had another fan-girl moment when I spotted Carly Waddell from the Bachelor! But, again I refrained from taking a picture with her.

Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant the absolute best southern brunch food ever! Good thing we had a reservation because there was a 2 hour wait.

Urban Grub the name speaks for itself, great food!

This past weekend was such a good trip and it was so good to be with everyone again. Do I dare say it kinda felt like we were back on 424 N. Steen Drive, all we were missing was Sports Shack & Driving Jacks. I hope it doesn’t take another one of us getting engaged or married to make a trip like this happen again! But let’s be real, we’re old now.
